Saskatchewan in Its Latest Expression of Interest Draw Invites Express Entry Candidates
Saskatchewan, fondly known as the Land of the Living Skies in its Expression of Interest Draw held on the 27th of February invited 83 Express Entry Candidates to apply for a provincial nomination. Candidates those who received a provincial nomination were registered under Saskatchewan’s International Skilled Worker Express Entry-sub Category.
The Expression of Interest System was introduced by the Saskatchewan Immigrant Nominee Program on the 16th of July 2018. The introduction of the new Expression of Interest System put an end to the old traditional first-come, first-serve method of accepting applications.
The Saskatchewan Immigrant Nominee Program allows Saskatchewan to nominate candidates from the Express Entry System. The Express Entry System is responsible for handling Canada’s three most economic immigration programs which are the Federal Skilled Worker Program, the Federal Skilled Trades Program and the Canadian Experience Class Program. It should be noted that an applicant to be considered eligible should have registered a separate Expression of Interest with the Saskatchewan Immigrant Nominee Program (SINP).
Creating an Expression of Interest Profile under the Saskatchewan Immigrant Nominee Program requires information from the applicant such as age, education, work experience, proof of language proficiency & more. The candidate should be having relevant work experience in one of the highly demanded occupations of the province and once when the assessment process is complete, individuals with scores greater than 60 are allowed to enter among the pool of candidates.
The Saskatchewan Immigrant Nominee Program along with its new Expression of Interest System is looking to take in more immigrants who could contribute to the positive growth of the economy.
