Manitoba PNP invited a total of 173 skilled workers in the latest Expression of Interest draw held on July 18. Candidates from three Manitoba Provincial Nominee Program (MPNP) immigration streams– Skilled Workers in Manitoba, Skilled Workers Overseas and International Education—received invitations or Letters of Advice to Apply (LAAs) from Manitoba PNP in the draw. The number of invitations issued under each of these streams is as follows:
– Skilled Workers in Manitoba: 110
– Skilled Workers Overseas: 40
– International Education: 23
Of the total 173 invitations issued, 29 went to candidates from the federal Express Entry pool. If these candidates successfully apply and receive provincial nomination from Manitoba, an additional 600 points will be added to their total Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) score and they will receive invitations to apply for permanent residence in Canada in the subsequent Express Entry draw that are conducted by the Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada(IRCC) regularly. The 40 Skilled Workers Overseas candidates who received LAAs in the latest draw were invited under a Strategic Recruitment Initiative.
The minimum scores of candidates invited the July 28 Manitoba PNP draw were as follows:
– Skilled Workers in Manitoba: 539
– Skilled Workers Overseas: Strategic Recruitment Initiative candidates: 718
– The total number of LAAs issued by Manitoba PNP so far in 2019 has touched 5506 with the latest draw.
Manitoba PNP Expression of Interest
Most of the skilled worker sub-streams of Manitoba PNP require the candidate to first submit an Expression of Interest (EoI) in order to be considered for provincial nomination. If eligible, the EoI profile will be awarded a score based on a few factors such as education, work experience, language proficiency and previous connections to the province. The highest scoring candidates will be issued LAAs in the draws that are conducted regularly.
