Express Entry General Draw : IRCC Invites 1,280 profiles for Permanent Residence

Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) invited 1,280 candidates to apply for permanent residence in the first Express Entry draw (Express Entry draw #292)  of April 2024. This draw took place on April 10, 2024.

The minimum Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) score required for this draw was 549, which is the highest so far this year for the general category. This means that if you had a CRS score of 549 or above on that date, you could have been invited to apply for permanent residence. In comparison, the highest score in 2023 for the general category was 542 (draw held on December 18, 2023, with 1,325 invitations issued).

The previous draw for the general category was held on March 25, 2024, inviting 1,980 candidates from all programs without program-specific restrictions. The CRS score of the lowest-ranked candidate invited in that draw was 524.
