New Invitations Issued by Saskatchewan to Express Entry In-Demand Occupation Candidates

Saskatchewan issued ITAs

Saskatchewan conducted its first draw of the year 2019 and issued 594 Invitations to Apply for a provincial nomination to Express Entry candidates under the Occupation In-Demand Stream draws. All candidates who have received Invitations get to apply for a provincial nomination.

Out of the total 596 Invitations, 362 of them were sent to the Saskatchewan Immigrant Nominee Program’s Express Entry sub-category. SINP is directly linked to the Canadian Express Entry System which allows Saskatchewan to look for eligible candidates in the Express Entry Pool.

Another 234 Invitations to apply were sent by Saskatchewan to the Occupation In-Demand candidates. It should be noted that this particular category is not linked to the Canadian Express Entry System. This stream is open to foreign workers with previous years of work experience in one of Saskatchewan’s in-demand occupations. Applicants need not have a job offer from a Saskatchewan employer to be considered eligible for the above mentioned two categories.

Individuals who would like to migrate to Saskatchewan should first be creating an Expression of Interest Profile because the selection process that is being carried out for the Express Entry and In-Demand Occupation works on an Expression of Interest basis.

The Saskatchewan Immigrant Nominee Program was first following the first-come-first-serve method of processing applications which was later replaced by the Expression of Interest System on the 16th of July 2018.

Individuals who want to immigrate to Saskatchewan under either of the above-mentioned categories should be submitting an EOI profile with details like qualification, work experience, English or French language proficiency and other required details.

Profiles of the candidates are given scores based on the provided details and those with points greater than 60 enter the pool of potential candidates and those who have sufficient scores & are highly ranked are drawn from the pool. The lowest score in the 16th January draw was 63 for Express Entry and 66 for Occupations In-Demand Stream.
