Saskatchewan International Skilled Workers: Latest Expression of Interest (EOI) Selections For PR

Saskatchewan Immigrant Nominee Program (SINP) invited 627 profiles of international skilled workers to apply for provincial nomination. All the invited candidates under the SINP Expression of Interest (EOI) draws are required to have Educational Credential Assessments (ECA) for Canadian permanent residency (PR).

PNP News
The provincial EOI draw held on July 14 invited immigration profiles under the ‘enhanced’ Express Entry & ‘base’ Occupations In-Demand Saskatchewan PNP streams. Not all occupations were selected but required a minimum score of 69, a four-point decrease that last week’s draws.

Category Invites Issued Minimum Score Targeted Occupations
Express Entry 430 73 NOCs included: 0621, 0631, 0632, 0711, 2171, 2234, 2263, 2281, 2282, 3212, 3214, 3217, 3219, 3237, 6211, 6221, 6312, 7284, 7305, 8252
Occupations In-Demand 195 73

Targeted candidates are from a mix of managerial, professional and technician occupations in healthcare, IT, construction and commerce.

‘Enhanced’ Express Entry Stream: Out of the total 627 invitations, 430 invitations went to candidates who already had their profiles in the federal Express Entry pool.

The federal Express Entry pool is a database of interested applicants willing to obtain permanent residence in Canada. The pool manages three of Canada’s main economic-class immigration programs: the Federal Skilled Worker Program, the Federal Skilled Trades Program, and the Canadian Experience Class.

Certain streams under the Provincial Nominee Programs (PNPs) target eligible profiles directly from the pool.

‘Base’ Occupations In-Demand Stream: Out of the total 627 invitations, 195 invitations went to candidates who have specific work skills that are in demand in Saskatchewan.

Those candidates who barely qualify to register a federal Express Entry profile may be nominated under the Occupations In-Demand sub-category.

The other two invitations went to candidates whose current country of residence is Ukraine as a special measure in response to the current conflict.

Towards the end of 2021, Saskatchewan opened a New International Healthcare Worker EOI Pool to apply for Canada Immigration.

How to register for SINP EOI draws?

Candidates must register their EOI profile with the provincial authority for nomination.

Candidates need to demonstrate their commitment to meaningfully settling in Saskatchewan by demonstrating their work experience, education, language ability, age, and connections to the province.

Saskatchewan gives candidates a score out of 100 according to the International Skilled Worker Points Assessment Grid. The province favors candidates with bilingual capability in both English and French.

The highest-scoring candidates are then issued an invitation to apply for a provincial nomination from Saskatchewan.

Regardless of the provincial category, all invited candidates need an EOI score of at least 71 in order to be invited. It is also to be noted that the points requirement is that all the invited candidates must have valid Educational Credential Assessments.

Additionally, candidates already in the federal Express Entry pool need to register another EOI and choose Saskatchewan.

On successfully receiving an invitation to apply (ITA) for a provincial nomination, candidates are awarded an additional 600 points toward their Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) score. It will effectively guarantee an ITA for Canada PR in the subsequent Express Entry draw conducted by IRCC.

Canada is on track to invite over 80,000 new permanent residents through various PNP streams. This would include foreign skilled workers, international students graduates in that province, specifically skilled tech workers, or even business entrepreneurs.
