The British Columbia Provincial Nominee Program (BC PNP) held its scheduled draw on December 06 targeting eligible candidates under its skilled immigration stream. It resulted in 193 invitations to apply for provincial nominations under one Tech draw and other targeted occupation draws.
British Columbia Provincial Nominee Program Tech draw is a fast-track, employer-driven immigration program. It targets international students and in-demand tech workers including engineers to apply for provincial nominations.
December 06 BC PNP Tech draws nominated 144 such tech workers to eventually qualify for Canada permanent residency. While the targeted occupations draw invited –
- 32 profiles having an occupation as Childcare: Early childhood educators and assistants (NOC 42202) and
- 17 profiles with Targeted draw: Healthcare, other priority occupations (NOCs 31103, 32104).
Factors that were considered in the latest BC PNP Draw
- Level and field of education along with where it was completed
- Proficiency in language skills
- Qualified occupations
- Eligible professional nomination in British Columbia
- Skill level work experience and its duration
- Intention to live, work and settle in the province and
- Skill-level job offer and wage
The invited candidates must meet the requirements of either Express Entry or Skills Immigration provincial categories to qualify.
Both these categories are managed by the Skills & Immigration Registration System (SIRS). Eligible profiles are assessed and evaluated on SIRS based on criteria like age, education, work experience, language proficiency, and others.
Invited candidates were required to have a higher provincial score of 95 points and above in the latest BC PNP tech draws. The average qualifying score witnessed in previous draws was 75 points.
The Provincial Nominee Program gives interested aspirants them to live and work in British Columbia and a path to Canada permanent residency in a few years.

Qualify for Upcoming BC PNP Tech Program
Generally, the Provincial Nominee Program requires eligible candidates to have work experience and a valid job offer. BC PNP Tech program requires immigration candidates to have work experience in one of 29 eligible occupations.

Invited candidates will need to submit a complete application within the next 30 days. The province processes most tech applications within two to three months.
