Draw Size and Required Provincial Score
The invitations to apply for provincial nomination is popularly known as Letters of Advice to Apply (LAAs). These LAAs are given to eligible candidates provided they have qualified for Expression of Interest (EOI) score for each category.
In the case of the October 8 PNP draw, the following draw and required EOI score were noted:
Category | LAAs issued | Required EOI score |
Skilled Workers in Manitoba | 152 | 528 |
Skilled Workers Overseas | 14 | 611 |
International Education Stream | 25 | N/A |
Among the above LAAs issued, 20 LAAs went to suitable candidates in the Express Entry pool. An Express Entry pool is an expression of interest database for federal immigration and provincial nominee programs. Candidates registered in it do not require any job offer or work experience in Canada.
Upon receiving a provincial nomination, such candidates are guaranteed permanent residence in a subsequent Express Entry draw.
