Canada Invited Over 20,000 Candidates Via Express Entry System in 2019’s First Quarter

The year 2019 seems to have a better start when compared to 2018’s immigration beginnings for Canada. The Express Entry System as expected is playing a major role in meeting the immigration target that has been set by the Canadian Government this year.

The Express Entry System was brought into existence during the year 2015 and is responsible for Canada’s three most economic immigration programs – the Federal Skilled Worker Class, the Federal Skilled Trades Class and the Canadian Experience Class.

How the Express Entry System Works?

The Canadian Express Entry System works on an invitation basis system where the individual will be called to apply from the Express Entry Pool. To enter into the Express Entry Pool, an individual should first create an Express Entry Profile. He/she who created an Express Entry Profile will be given individual CRS Scores based on factors like age, education, work experience & more.,

The individual will be receiving an Invitation to Apply during the Express Entry draws provided they meet the minimum cut-off CRS Scores.

Records Created During the First Quarter of 2019: –

The Canadian Government with its new multi-year immigration plan is about to take 3,50,000 residents by the year 2021. With a pretty good start this year, the Express Entry Draw has created multiple records which are being mentioned below:

• The draw held on January 10^th, 2019 issued 3,900 invitations which is by far the largest draw during the first quarter since introduction.
• When compared to the year 2018, this year had the lowest minimum cut-off CRS Score (438).
• Ontario under its Human Capital Priorities Stream held the largest draw ever issuing 1,493 Notification of Interest to Express Entry Candidates having scores between 439 & 448.
• Other Canadian provinces like Manitoba, Saskatchewan & more seems to have been exceptionally busy in the first quarter of the year.
