British Columbia one of the well-known Canadian provides has issued its first invitations for the year 2019. The total number of invitations issued were 151 in the latest draw that was conducted on the 2nd of January and the invitations were issued to Skilled Worker and International Graduates.
The categories to which the invitations were issued were Skills Immigration & Express Entry BC streams and Skills Immigration – Entry Level & Semi-Skilled candidates. For Skilled Worker candidates, the minimum score was 85 for the streams and the minimum score was 95 for candidates who are International Graduates.
To be eligible under one of British Columbia’s Provincial Nominee Program’s various streams, the individual must be having an intermediate full-time job offer from a British Columbian Employee and should have already created an online profile using the British Columbia Provincial Nominee Program’s online registration system. Only after the profile being created, the candidate will be assessed on a certain set of factors namely work experience, education & other factors and will be assigned a score.
The minimum scores for each BC PNP category invited in the January 2nd draw are being mentioned below:
- EEBC Skilled Worker – 85
- EEBC International Graduate – 95
- Skilled Worker – 85
- International Graduate – 95
- Entry Level and Semi-Skilled – 68
British Columbia’s Express Entry Stream is being linked to Canada’s Express Entry system which was introduced during the year 2015 and is responsible for the immigration categories Federal Skilled Worker Class, Federal Skilled Trades Class & the Canadian Experience Class. Candidates receiving a provincial nomination from British Columbia get 600 additional CRS scores which helps them obtain their Canadian Permanent Residence.
