He also stated that the Category-based selection is set to open during the week of 5th July. This draw will focus on candidates with STEM expertise, including occupations like Data scientists, software developers, programmers, mathematicians, statisticians, and actuaries, electrical and electronic engineers.
This announcement has set a landmark in Canada’s commitment to pulling in top global talent and establishing its position in research, development, and innovation. It also conforms to the efforts and recruitment of the Canadian government to raise the STEM workforce concerns and builds on the recent launch of the Tech Talent Attraction Strategy.
