British Columbia Provincial Nominee Program (BC PNP) held its first tech pilot draw this month on November 3. A total of 76 invitations were issued to eligible candidates to apply for a provincial nomination.
On receiving a successful nomination, the eligible candidates can apply with Immigration, Refugees, and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) for permanent residence. November 3 draw invitations also went to candidates registered in the federal Express Entry pool. Another category of candidates is selected from the province’s Skills Immigration stream.
Those who wish to apply under the Skills Immigration or Express Entry BC categories will have to create a separate profile under the province’s Skills Immigration Registration System (SIRS).
The SIRS is a point-based system that assesses applicants’ skilled and scores them on factors like level of education, work experience, proficiency in English, and location of employment. The candidates are scored out of a maximum of 200 points.
November 3 draws selected candidates having a minimum provincial score of 80 in all categories.
The BC PNP says most applications are processed within two to three months. Take this free assessment online to get started.

Good Time to Migrate to Canada is Now!
With the unveiling of the much-awaited Immigration Levels Plan for 2021-2023, now is definitely the right time to migrate to Canada. Over the next three years, Canada is planning to welcome more than 1.2k new immigrants to support their economy as well as aging demography.
About 50% of such immigrants each year are expected to come from economic-class programs like Federal Skilled Workers Programs, Canada Experience Class, Provincial Nominee Programs, etc. The likely beneficiaries are foreign skilled workers with/without work experience in Canada, international students aspiring to study and settle in Canada, and foreign entrepreneurs looking to establish their business in Canada.
Recent changes to the evaluation criteria of the Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) used for Express Entry profiles are aimed at increasing the francophone or French-speaking population outside the Quebec region by 2023.
All these also strengthen the fact that Canada is the most preferred migrant destination, ahead of Australia and the USA. Wait for no further and contact CanApprove to know your best immigration programs.
