• All nine existing OINP immigration streams are expected to be revoked.
• Ontario plans to introduce two new Employer Job Offer categories:
  • TEER 0–3 Occupations – focused on higher-skilled professions.
  • Critical Shortage Sectors – focused on essential lower-skilled occupations facing labour shortages.
• Some streams, including the Express Entry Skilled Trades stream, were already suspended earlier in April 2026.

July 2, 2026

• Ontario is expected to launch a new Employer Portal for stricter job offer verification.
• Priority is expected to be given to sectors such as:
  • Healthcare
  • Technology
  • Specialized Trades
