    Saskatchewan Immigration Nominee Program (SINP)

    This program helps the province to nominate candidates to the Canadian federal government to apply for Permanent Residence.

    SINP operates 4 nomination streams which encompass,

    • International Skilled Worker
    • Saskatchewan Experience
    • Entrepreneur
    • Farm Owner and Operator

    1. International Skilled Worker

    The International Worker stream is for foreign skilled job seekers who desire to live and work in Saskatchewan. If you’re one of those job seekers who want to apply for this stream, you should come under the following stream.

    • Your score should be a minimum of 4 as your CLB on any valid language test.
    • You must have at least a year of work experience in the past 10 years under the same designation that allows you to qualify for this stream.
    • You should have scored at least 60 points on the points assessment grid.
    • You should be qualified for a license in Saskatchewan if your occupation might as well need it.
    • To add on, there are other criteria along with the ones mentioned above which are divided into 5 sub-categories.

    Employment Offer

    • You should have a job offer under a skilled position in NOC TEER 0, 1,2, or 3 from a Saskatchewan employer who has a letter of job approval in SINP.

    Occupation in Demand

    • You will not require a job offer in Saskatchewan.
    • Your job role must come under NOC TEER 0, 1, 2, or 3rd position.
    • Your occupation must not come under the excluded occupations list.
    • Your scores should be at least 4 as your CLB on any valid language test.
    • You must have pursued education corresponding to at least one year of Canadian post-secondary credential.
    • You should submit an Expression of Interest and get invited to apply for SINP on the basis of your points in the SINP skilled worker assessment grid.

    Saskatchewan Express Entry

    • You must have an active Express Entry profile.
    • You will not require a job offer in Saskatchewan.
    • You should have sufficient funds to settle in Saskatchewan.
    • Your occupation must not come under the excluded occupations list.
    • You must have pursued education corresponding to at least one year of Canadian post-secondary credential.
    • You should have at least a year of work experience in a skilled position in NOC TEER 0, 1,2, or 3 relevant to your field of education.
    • You should submit an Expression of Interest and get invited to apply for SINP on the basis of your points in the SINP skilled worker assessment grid.

    Tech Talent Pathway

    • You should be a permanent and full-time employee under any one of the following categories:
      NOC 20012 – Computer and information systems manager
      NOC 21310 – Electrical and Electronics engineers
      NOC 21311 – Computer engineers (except software engineers and designers)
      NOC 21211 – Data Scientist
      NOC 21220 – Cybersecurity specialist
      NOC 21221 – Business system specialist
      NOC 21222 – Information system specialist
      NOC 21223 – Database analysts and data administrators
      NOC 21230 – Computer systems developers and programmers
      NOC 21231 – Software engineers and designers
      NOC 21232 – Software developers and programmers
      NOC 21233 – Web Designer
      NOC 21234 – Web developers and programmers
      NOC 22220 – Computer network and technicians
      NOC 22221 – User support technicians
      NOC 22222 – Information system testing technicians
    • You should be qualified for a license in Saskatchewan if your occupation might as well need it.
    • If you’re applying from outside Saskatchewan or Canada itself, you should have a year of high-skilled work experience in the past 5 years.
    • You should have pursued post-secondary education that is relevant to your job offer.
    • You should hold a legit letter of job approval of SINP as proof from your employer.

    Hard-To-Fill Skills Pilot

    • Your scores should be at least 4 as your CLB or more on any valid language test.
    • You should hold a legit letter of job approval of SINP as proof from your employer.
    • You must have pursued education corresponding to at least one year of Canadian post-secondary credential.
    • You should have worked for at least a year as a full-time employee in the past 3 years based on your occupation.

    2. Saskatchewan Experience

    This category is for foreign individuals who already reside and work in Saskatchewan and hold a valid work permit. You should be offered a job by a permanent full-time employee by an employer who contains a legit SINP job approval letter.

    You don’t have to register in the expression of interest system in order to receive an invitation to apply. If you work under NOC TEER 4 or 5 occupations, you will have to score a minimum of 4 as your CLB. To apply through this stream you need to come under the eligibility of any one of the sub-categories below.

    Skilled Worker with Existing Work Permit

    • You should be offered permanent employment from an employer of Saskatchewan under NOC TEER 0, 1, 2, or 3 or a designated trade.
    • You should be working for a minimum of 6 months with a legit work permit in Saskatchewan.
    • You are not eligible to apply under this category if you are a refugee claimant, health professional, food and beverage server, or if you’re working on a post-graduate work permit.

    Semi-skilled Agriculture Worker

    • You should have pursued education corresponding to a Canadian high school diploma.
      You must hold a legit work permit either in Seasonal Agricultural Worker Program, Temporary Foreign Worker Program, or International Experience Canada.
    • You should have worked for at least 6 months either as a Livestock laborer (NOC 85100), Harvest Laborer (NOC 85101), or a Nursery and Greenhouse laborer (NOC 85103) for the employer who offered you a job.

    Health Professionals

    • You must be working as a Nurse, Physician, or any other health professional for at least 6 months in Saskatchewan and hold a legit work permit.
    • You should meet the licensing demands required for your occupation in Saskatchewan.

    Hospitality Sector Project

    • You must have completed at least grade 12.
    • Your work permit should be based on an LMIA.
    • Your employer should contain SINP hospitality approval.
    • You should have been working for at least 6 months as a food and beverage server (NOC 65200), Food counter attendant, Kitchen helper (NOC 65201), or housekeeping and cleaning staff (NOC 65301).

    Long-Haul Truck Driver Project

    • You must hold a legit Saskatchewan Class 1A driver’s license.
    • You should have been working as a long-haul truck driver with an LMIA-based work permit for a Saskatchewan firm for at least 6 months.

    Students

    • You must hold a valid post-graduate work permit.
    • You should have graduated from an identified post-secondary institution in Canada.
    • If you’re a graduate of Saskatchewan, you must have a certificate, degree, or diploma with a minimum 6 months of paid employment.
    • You should be offered a permanent job in Saskatchewan under NOC TEER 0, 1, 2, 3, or a designated trade relevant to your education.
    • If you’re a graduate from another part of Canada, you should have worked with your post-graduate work permit for at least 6 months in Saskatchewan.

    3. Entrepreneur

    The Entrepreneur stream contains 2 categories:

    Saskatchewan Entrepreneurs

    This category is for efficient entrepreneurs who desire either to start, buy, or partner in a business and engage actively in it. But first, you must submit an expression of interest online. You will be invited to apply based on the points grid. After you receive the invitation, you will submit a business establishment plan to the SINP.

    You will enter into a contract with SINP if your plan is approved. You will be given a support letter that allows you to apply for a work permit to travel to Saskatchewan and commence your business. You will be eligible for a provincial nomination only after 6 months of successfully establishing your business. If you’re one of those applicants, you must beware of the following eligibility criteria:

    • You should have at least 3 years of experience in business management or entrepreneurship in the past 10 years.
    • You should contain a net worth of CA 500,000 as your minimum in Net business and personal assets.
    • You should invest at least CAD 300,000 in Regina and Saskatoon or at least CAD 200,000 in any other Saskatchewan community.

    When it comes to business, there are certain criteria that you must follow:

    • Your business should operate actively on a daily basis.
    • You should provide employment for at least 2 people who are not related to you
    • if you are starting a business in Regina or Saskatoon.
    • You should own at least ⅓ of the equity of the business in Saskatchewan except if your total investment in the business is CAD 1 million or more.

    International Graduate Entrepreneur

    The International Graduate Entrepreneur category is for graduates of Saskatchewan who hold a legit post-graduate work permit and want to start up, buy or function an efficient business in Saskatchewan. If you’d like to apply, you must first submit your expression of interest. Then, You will be invited to apply based on the points grid.

    If you’re invited, you must submit a business establishment plan to the SINP. if your plan is sanctioned, you will get into a contract with SINP. You will be eligible for a provincial nomination only after a year of successfully establishing your business. The eligibility criteria for this category will be:

    • You should be at least 21 years old.
    • Your score must be a minimum of 7 as your CLB on a language test.
    • You should have resided in Saskatchewan while completing your studies.
    • You must have pursued a full-time post-secondary program for a period of at least 2 years from a recognized Saskatchewan institution.
    • You should possess a legit post-graduate work permit with a validity of a minimum of 24 months.
    • Your business proposal should be presented in an efficient business sector and ensure to personally manage the business.

    4. Farm Owner and Operator

    The Farm Owner and Operator category is for farmers with experience who intend to purchase and operate a farm as a primary agricultural production in Saskatchewan. You must come under the following category if you are planning to apply:

    • You should have a minimum of CAD 500,000 as your net worth.
    • You should state that your plans for operating the farm are applicable.
    • You must visit Saskatchewan for at least 10 business days and meet with a SINP representative.
    • You should have a skilled experience in farming that will allow you to successfully establish a farm in Saskatchewan.
    • You should deposit CAD 75,000 paid to the SINP which will be refunded within 2 years if you follow the terms and conditions after settling in Saskatchewan.

    Young Farmer Stream

    • You must first go on an exploratory visit to Saskatchewan for a minimum of 10 business days.
    • You should be under 40 years of age when you’re applying for this stream.
    • You must possess a personal net worth of CAD 300,000 as your minimum.
    • You should have an experience of at least 3 years in farm ownership, practical farming, and farm management.
    • Your spouse and you must illustrate efficient marketing employment skills that add to your farming income.
    • Your business proposal for a commercial farming project should result in providing CAD 10,000 as your annual revenue.
