You can apply under the Northwest Territories program for provincial nomination if you plan to establish a business or find employment in NWT. But before you apply, make sure you are already working in Canada with a valid work permit.

Northwest Territories are accepting applications for the following programs.

    1. Skilled Worker

The Skilled Worker stream focuses on highly skilled foreign nationals who have an efficient experience in occupations under NOC 0, A, or B. If you’re applying through this program, you must come under the following criteria:

    • You should have at least a year of experience in the job that is offered to you.
    • You should be a permanent full-time employee under the NOC TEER 0, 1, 2, or 3 occupations,
    • You should contain a legit work permit.
    • Your settlement funds should suffice for you to live and work in NWT.
    • Your scores should be a minimum of CLB 7 on a legit language test if your occupation comes under NOC TEER 0, 1, or 2.
    • Your scores should be a minimum of CLB 5 on a legit language test if your occupation comes under NOC TEER 3 positions.
    • You must have an Educational Credential Assessment substantiate your foreign education.

    • You should promote the positions of each program based on the requirements or obtain an LMIA.
    • Your business should be registered with the Worker’s Safety and compensation commission and be compiled with the employment standards act.

    2. Northwest Territories Express Entry

You can apply for provincial nomination if you have an active express entry profile and meet the eligibility requirements for a skilled worker team of the NWT Nominee program. This stream allows foreign nationals to become permanent residents swiftly rather than applying through the regular skilled workers stream.
