The Canadian government made a historic entry in the year 2019 by conducting the first largest draw of the year. The 108th Express Entry Draw was conducted on the 10th of January and a massive 3900 Invitations to Apply were issued to candidates to apply for a Canadian permanent residence and the CRS scores were as low as 449.
It should be noted that this is the first draw where the highest number of Invitations to Apply were issued during the beginning of a year. This has actually made people to expect that Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) is about to break the last year’s record of issuing a huge 89,800 Invitations to Apply.
The Canadian Express Entry System is responsible for taking in immigrants under the three most important economic immigration programs which are the Federal Skilled Worker Class, the Canadian Experience Class and the Federal Skilled Trades Class Program.
Candidates who wish to immigrate to Canada under the Express Entry Program are given CRS scores based on their education, work experience, age, language proficiency & more., With the last Express Entry draw of the year 2018 having a CRS score of 439, it was expected that the trend would continue further. But the CRS score cut off increased to 449 which is likely due to the long break between the previous Express Entry draw and this draw.
A Short Summary on the 108th Draw

• Express Entry Draw Date – 10th of January 2019
• Number of Invitations to Apply Issued – 3,900
