These nominations will effectively result in permanent residency under the discretion of Immigration, Refugees, and Citizenship Canada (IRCC).

New Limited-Time PR Pathways: Canada will consider new applications for Canada PR under the six new PR pathways that include:

  • PR pathway for French-speaking international student graduates;
  • PR pathway for French-speaking essential workers in healthcare;
  • PR pathway for French-speaking essential workers in other occupations.

Further, with at least one year of work experience inside Canada, such students can apply for permanent residence under the Canada Experience Class program to settle in Canada.
