New Invitations Issued by Saskatchewan to Express Entry In-Demand Occupation Candidates

Saskatchewan conducted its first draw of the year 2019 and issued 594 Invitations to Apply for a provincial nomination to Express Entry candidates under the Occupation In-Demand Stream draws. All candidates who have received Invitations get to apply for a provincial nomination.

Out of the total 596 Invitations, 362 of them were sent to the Saskatchewan Immigrant Nominee Program’s Express Entry sub-category. SINP is directly linked to the Canadian Express Entry System which allows Saskatchewan to look for eligible candidates in the Express Entry Pool.

Another 234 Invitations to apply were sent by Saskatchewan to the Occupation In-Demand candidates. It should be noted that this particular category is not linked to the Canadian Express Entry System. This stream is open to foreign workers with previous years of work experience in one of Saskatchewan’s in-demand occupations. Applicants need not have a job offer from a Saskatchewan employer to be considered eligible for the above mentioned two categories.

Individuals who would like to migrate to Saskatchewan should first be creating an Expression of Interest Profile because the selection process that is being carried out for the Express Entry and In-Demand Occupation works on an Expression of Interest basis.

The Saskatchewan Immigrant Nominee Program was first following the first-come-first-serve method of processing applications which was later replaced by the Expression of Interest System on the 16th of July 2018.

Individuals who want to immigrate to Saskatchewan under either of the above-mentioned categories should be submitting an EOI profile with details like qualification, work experience, English or French language proficiency and other required details.

Profiles of the candidates are given scores based on the provided details and those with points greater than 60 enter the pool of potential candidates and those who have sufficient scores & are highly ranked are drawn from the pool. The lowest score in the 16th January draw was 63 for Express Entry and 66 for Occupations In-Demand Stream.

Ontario’s First Human Capital Priorities Draw of 2019 Issues Huge Number of Invitations

Ontario, one of the thirteen Canadian provinces & territories started its 2019 draws by issuing a huge number of Invitations to Express Entry Candidates. The recently held draw issued 1,493 Invitations to Express Entry candidates and the CRS scores of the candidates were as low as 439.

Ontario’s Human Capital Priorities Stream paves way for the Ontario Immigrant Nominee Program to look for potential candidates within the Express Entry Pool who meet the eligibility criteria set by the province and the federal government.

The draw held invited candidates with CRS scores as low as 439 which is actually lower than the minimum score of the last Express Entry Draw that was held. It should be noted that candidates who receive a nomination would gain an additional 600 CRS scores making their score shoot up to 1,039, effectively guaranteeing their chance to receive a Canadian Permanent Resident Visa.

During the year 2018, Ontario issued 3,719 Invitations through the Human Capital Priorities Stream and another 1,663 Invitations via the French-Speaking Skilled Worker Stream and finally, 1,626 Invitations via the Skilled Trades Stream.

Most of the Human Capital Priorities Stream focused on candidates who have specific skills but this particular draw was non-targeted where the candidates did not have to have French Language Proficiency nor a job offer in Ontario.

Manitoba Issues First Invitations in 2019 to Express Entry Candidates

A total of 626 invitations to Apply for the provincial nomination were issued by Manitoba during its first draw of 2019 held on the 17th of January. The candidates who received an Invitation to Apply will be receiving an additional 600 CRS score which would help them obtain a Canadian Permanent Residence.

The Canadian Provincial Nominee Program allows the participating Canadian provinces to nominate a set number of candidates to apply for provincial nomination every year. Manitoba, one of the participating Canadian Provinces issues invitations under its Manitoba Provincial Nominee Program.

Out of the total 626 Invitations to Apply, 394 of them were sent to candidates under the Skilled Workers Overseas Stream and the number sent to Express Entry Candidates who have an Expression of Interest Profile registered with Manitoba were not disclosed exactly.

It should be noted that the Express Entry pathway of Manitoba is linked to the Canadian Federal Express Entry System which is responsible for managing candidates under the country’s three most important immigration programs which are the Federal Skilled Worker Program, the Federal Skilled Trades Program & the Canadian Experience Class respectively.

The candidates who were issued an Invitation to Apply will gain 600 additional CRS scores which would guarantee their receiving of a Canadian Permanent Residence. Individuals willing to immigrate to Manitoba should first create an Expression of Interest Profile and the applicant will be evaluated and given a score based on factors like language proficiency, work experience, education & more.,

The candidates who were issued an invitation to apply during the 17th January draw were to have an Express Entry ID which is valid and work experience in of the province’s in-demand occupation for a minimum of at least six months.

LAAs were also issued to Skilled Workers Overseas Candidates who had previous years of work experience in Manitoba or a close relative in Manitoba. The lowest ranked candidate’s score was above 575. There were also 27 invitations issued to Skilled Workers Overseas Candidates via a Strategic Recruitment Initiative and the minimum scores for this was 729 respectively.

Manitobian Skilled Workers & International Education Stream

A total of 232 candidates were invited under the Skilled Workers in Manitoba and International Education Streams and the candidates were having scores as low as 650. The split up of the issued 232 invitations were 200 for the Skilled Workers in Manitoba and 32 for the International Education Stream Candidates.

This particular stream is for candidates who are eligible & qualified temporary workers and for International graduates who work currently in Manitoba and have a permanent job offered with Manitoba employer.

A new survey which focused on businesses from New Brunswick & Moncton stated that finding skilled labor for work was the biggest challenge they face. Businesses look forward to increase the number of international workers and assume that this could be the key to resolve the issue.

Chamber of Commerce of Greater Moncton, Voice of the Greater Moncton Business Community in its recent survey stated that businesses are focusing to address the labour shortage by bringing in more skilled workers from foreign countries.

Canada to Reopen Parents & Grandparents Program by the 28th of January

The Canadian Federal Government announced that the most looked forward Parents and Grandparents Program is about to reopen by the 28th of January and interested sponsors can start applying by expressing their interest.

The Canadian Parents and Grandparents Program, also known as the PGP, allows Canadian Permanent residents & citizens to sponsor their parents & grandparents to apply for a Canadian Permanent Resident Visa. Canada Conducts Its First Express Entry Draw of 2019

Key Changes Made in Provincial Nominee Program During 2018 Will Create Impact this Year

British Columbia Issues First Invitations of 2019 to Skills Immigration & Express Entry Candidates

British Columbia one of the well-known Canadian provides has issued its first invitations for the year 2019. The total number of invitations issued were 151 in the latest draw that was conducted on the 2nd of January and the invitations were issued to Skilled Worker and International Graduates.

Only after the profile being created, the candidate will be assessed on a certain set of factors namely work experience, education & other factors and will be assigned a score.

The minimum scores for each BC PNP category invited in the January 2nd draw are being mentioned below:
