Prince Edward Island Makes Provincial Nominee Program Schedule for 2022 Public

The Canadian province of Prince Edward Island announced its provincial nomination draw schedule for 2022. In fact, the maritime province in Eastern Canada runs the only provincial nominee program that releases its draw schedule for the rest of the year.

New Brunswick & Nova Scotia are other Provincial Nominee Programs in the region. Both these provinces targets eligible economic-class candidates also through the federal Atlantic immigration program. The federal government is looking to invite over 6,000 candidates every year to apply for Canada immigration through the program.

The Prince Edward Island Provincial Nominee Program (PEI PNP) usually follows the draw schedule, except in 2020 when the unexpected pandemic halted the flow of human capital around the world.

Provincial Nominee Program is the next best pathway for permanent residency in Canada after the Express Entry system. Any aspirant with or without Canadian experience can directly qualify for permanent residency through Express Entry.

However, PNPs are a two-step immigration process. In the first step, candidates receive invitations to apply for provincial nomination through regular provincial nomination draws. In the next step, they are eligible to send a request to the Immigration, Refugees, and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) to consider themselves for permanent residency in Canada.

Prince Edward Island Provincial Nominee Program draw results in 2021 show a total of 1,804 immigration candidates applied for provincial nominations. Of these invitations, 1,697 were from the Labour Impact and Express Entry streams and 157 were from the Business Impact stream.

Other Canadian provinces, for example, Ontario, British Columbia, Alberta have the highest percentage of the foreign immigrant population who immigrate to Canada for study, work or settle permanently. Foreign entrepreneurs who want to own and operate a business in PEI are issued invitations under the Work Permit Stream.

Labour Force Survey for December is out. Statistics Canada finds a greater proportion of core-aged (25 – 54 years) newcomers getting employed than before the pandemic. This marks a positive signal for those willing to immigrate to Canada in 2022.

Newcomers to Canada have established residential ties with Canada. Typically, they are people who have applied for or received permanent resident status from Immigration, Refugees, and Citizenship Canada (IRCC). They can be also those who have received “approval-in-principle” from IRCC to stay in Canada.

Statistics Canada Labour Force Survey noted employment rose 55,000 in December, while unemployment was little changed. More people were working full-time in December and most of the employment growth was in Ontario. Construction and Education Industries caused a major gain in employment levels throughout Canada.

In the last two years, Canada noted the largest Employment gains in professional, scientific, and technical services (up 26,000 jobs, 31.3 per cent) as well as wholesale and retail trade (up 20,000 jobs, 28.7 per cent).

Unemployment in Canada was down slightly to 5.9 per cent as compared to 6 per cent in November. Before the pandemic, Canada recorded an unemployment rate of 5.6 per cent in February 2020.

Immigrants Enjoy Higher Employment Rate in Canada

The share of core-age very recent immigrants rose by 7.8 percentage points to 78.7% in the last two years. In December 2021 alone, the total number of very recent immigrants of core working age (25 to 54) was 0.6 per cent higher, or 5,000 more, than two years earlier.

Very recent immigrants in Canada are defined as those who have landed within the last five years.

Immigrants in Canada who landed more than five years ago also enjoyed a healthy employment rate. It was almost 83 per cent among the core-aged group in December.

Another decadal study found immigrant men who had been in Canada for less than 10 years got jobs at a faster rate than Canadian-born men. There was also a marginal improvement in the relative employment rate of immigrant women who had been in Canada for less than five years.

The study observed higher entry-level wages among Canadian immigrants. Individuals with higher levels of education and higher language proficiency in English or French fare better in Canada. Furthermore, Candidates who immigrate to Canada under Provincial Nominee Program (PNP) streams tend to earn more than their Federal Skilled Worker Program (FSWP) counterparts.

New Tech Draw from British Columbia Provincial Nominee Program Invites 102 Candidates

The British Columbia Provincial Nominee Program (BC PNP) held its first draw of 2022. It resulted in invitations to apply for provincial nominations under its new permanent Tech stream.

British Columbia Provincial Nominee Program Tech draw is a fast-track, employer-driven immigration program. It targets international students and in-demand tech workers including engineers to apply for provincial nominations.

January 04 BC PNP Tech draw nominated 102 such tech workers.

The invited candidates must meet the requirements of either Express Entry or Skills Immigration provincial categories to qualify. Both these categories are managed by the Skills & Immigration Registration System (SIRS). Eligible profiles are assessed and evaluated on SIRS based on criteria like age, education, work experience, language proficiency, and others.

Invited candidates had a provincial score of 80 points and above in this draw. This is five points higher than the previous qualifying score of 75 points.

The BC PNP Tech program gives people who choose to live and work in British Columbia a path to Canada permanent residency.

Qualify for Upcoming British Columbia Provincial Nominee Tech Program

Generally, the Provincial Nominee Program requires eligible candidates to have work experience and a valid job offer. BC PNP Tech program requires immigration candidates to have work experience in one of 29 eligible occupations.

Some in-demand tech occupations include:

Last year, British Columbia upgraded its pilot Tech program into a permanent residence program. It was expected to boost the immigration of in-demand tech workers and international students in the province.

In fact, British Columbia became the only Provincial Nominee Program in 2021 to issue around 12,000 invitations for a provincial nomination. The Manitoba Provincial Nominee Program followed up next with just over 10,000 invitations.

Together, Canada Provincial Nominee Programs issued nearly 80,000 invitations in 2021 through various streams. Many provincial streams became a pathway for Canada permanent residency.

Apply for Canada Permanent Residency

Since the launch of Express Entry in 2015, all the Provincial Nominee Programs have had at least one dedicated stream that selects eligible candidates directly from the federal pool.

A successful provincial nomination will guarantee an invitation to apply for Canada permanent residency in subsequent federal nomination draws. It is because 600 points get added to the Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) score linked to your Express Entry profile.

Canada gave undue preference to candidates with prior provincial nominations or Canadian experience for permanent residency throughout 2020 and 2021. It resulted in neglecting Federal Skilled Worker Program (FSWP) candidates. FSWP candidates form about 85 per cent in the federal pool and stay offshore with no work or study experience in Canada.

It may continue doing so until IRCC reduces the Express Entry backlog to more than half. Presently, there are about 119,000 pending applications, a little less compared to October when it was nearly 138,000.

Canada Express Entry: 392 PNP Candidates Invited to Apply for Canada PR

Immigration. Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) held another PNP-specific Canada Express Entry draw on January 05. It resulted in 392 invitations to apply for Canada PR. This Express Entry draw targeted domestic temporary workers or skilled foreign workers with prior provincial nominations.

The first Canada Express Entry draw this year saw cut-off swell up to 808. For the last few PNP-only draws, the qualifying CRS score remained below 750. Higher cut-off scores compared to other program-specific Express Entry draws is due to the automatic addition of 600 points to candidates with provincial nominations.

Decreased Draw Size	392 invitations to apply for Canada PR. The last few draws had the largest draw size in the history of Express Entry PNP-only draws.
Increased Express Entry Cut-off	Minimum CRS score required was 808. Adding 600 points to their base human capital score, candidates effectively required only 208 points to qualify.
Tie-break rule applied?	IRCC applies the tie-break rule to avoid disputes in the rankings. This is particularly helpful in cases where two or more candidates end up with the same CRS score. No tie-break rule was applied.

IRCC has only been holding PNP-only Canada Express Entry draws since September 2021. An internal briefing memo, first accessed by CIC News, noted IRCC has been focusing on PNP candidates as immigration officers are processing a backlog in applications.

The immigration department wants to cut Express Entry backlogs by at least half before inviting candidates from other programs.

History of Canada Express Entry Draws

Express Entry draws for Canada PR reinvented itself right after the pandemic. IRCC is focussing on inviting temporary residents to apply for Canada PR. Such candidates either qualified under Canada Experience Class or under any one of the Provincial Nominee Programs.

A departure from the previous Express Entry draws is noticed. IRCC says 42% of invitations in 2020 went to candidates who had Canadian education, up from 28% in 2019.

All the invited candidates in Express Entry PNP-draw have demonstrated their connection to a province or territory. It is through familial ties, work experience, or study experience in that province or territory. In order to qualify for the CEC program, temporary skilled workers or recent international graduates must have had at least one year of work experience in Canada.

Express Entry has held about 40 PNP-only draws since its launch in 2015. Off-late, IRCC is giving undue preference to PNP candidates. It is aiming to support and realize the immigration goals of the provinces and territories that otherwise would have failed.

Last year, Canada Express Entry draws invited nearly 114,431 immigration candidates to apply for Canada PR.

Apply for Canada PR with Provincial Nomination

Immigration aspirants choose Canada because of its direct permanent residence pathway. A PR invitation through the provincial nomination route is not a direct pathway, however, is very effective to secure your chances of applying for Canada PR.

Any prospective candidate who seeks to obtain permanent residence in Canada must register on Canada Express Entry online portal.

All the registered profiles are then assessed and ranked based on a Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS).

Such profiles are evaluated on a total of 1200 points. Their human capital like

age,
education,
work experience outside Canada,
language proficiency in English/French,
spouse adaptability,
Canadian study experience, etc. are considered for evaluation purposes.

With an automatic addition of 600 points to candidates with provincial nominations, an invitation to apply for Canada PR is effectively guaranteed.

Salma Ashleen is a working health professional with more than 6 years of experience. She entered the Express Entry pool with a CRS score of 250 points. She had also submitted her profile to the Canadian province of Saskatchewan.

Also, Ms. Ashleen never worked or studied in Canada.

Aseemaa Ashraf was soon invited to apply for a provincial nomination. This made her CRS score rise to 850. This is sufficient to receive ITA in this Express Entry draw.

And to sum it up, experts are of the view that the immigration levels in Canada will only increase in the coming years. In fact, Canada is aiming to admit more than 110,500 Express Entry candidates in 2022.

Study on Immigrant Mobility Finds Vancouver, Toronto, and Edmonton Most Preferred for Canada Permanent Residency

Statistics Canada is out with a new study on immigrant mobility. The study focuses on where immigrants prefer to stay before and after obtaining Canada permanent residency. It gives valuable insights into what sorts of places immigrants find attractive. What factors play into their decision to immigrate to Canada.

Researchers at Statistics Canada used tax file data of Canadian immigrants from the 2020 Longitudinal Immigration Database. They examined immigrants who came to Canada in 2014 for this study.

Immigrant Mobility study found Canadian cities like Vancouver, Toronto, and Edmonton to have the best immigrant retention figures. Immigrants who moved to Vancouver in 2014 had the highest retention rate at slightly more than 86 per cent five years after Canada PR. Toronto came second with about 86 per cent staying in the city five years later. Edmonton came in third place at nearly 85 per cent.

Immigrant retention in this study is to be understood as immigrants staying in their original province or territory of admission for the duration of the study.

Another surprising result popped up with Halifax in Atlantic Canada posting a retention rate of nearly 58 per cent. Historically, Atlantic Canada including New Brunswick, Nova Scotia, Prince Edward Island, Newfoundland, and Labrador has had low retention rates. The change in status of the Atlantic Immigration Pilot (AIP) into a permanent program will boost immigration to Canada. AIP to target 6,000 eligible candidates each year for Canada permanent residency.

Most Stay in Province or Territory of Admission After Their Immigration to Canada

The retention rates by province and immigration class at the 10-year mark were similar to those observed at five years.

Ontario had the highest retention rate overall at almost 94 per cent, followed by British Columbia at nearly 90 per cent, and Alberta at 89 per cent. Among the Atlantic provinces, Nova Scotia had the highest retention rate of nearly 63 per cent.

Family-sponsored immigrants had a five-year retention rate of more than 93 per cent while the economic-class immigrants stayed at a rate of about 82 per cent.

The study concluded that most immigrants prefer to stay in a province after their immigration to Canada. The study also noted that immigrants were more likely to move, if at all required, in the early years following their admission.

Having prior work or study experience in Canada plays a significant role in immigrants’ choices to move between regions.

Immigrants Often Stay in the Province Where They Worked Before Canada Permanent Residency

Among the immigrants who obtained Canada PR in 2014, those with work experience more often stayed in the province or territory of admission.

Newcomers with work and study experience had a retention rate of about 81 per cent. Those who only had work permits before obtaining Canada PR had a retention rate of more than 90 per cent.

However, immigrants who had only study permits before getting Canada permanent residency had the lowest retention rates at about 79 per cent. The study did not provide any specific reasons behind why immigrants decided to relocate.

British Columbia PNP Draw Issues 243 Invitations to Apply for Canada Immigration

The British Columbia Provincial Nominee Program held its last provincial nomination draws of the year on December 21. As a result, 243 new invitations to apply for Canada immigration were issued.

The eligible candidates include foreign workers and international students. They are already registered under the Skills Immigration (SI) and Express Entry BC (EEBC) provincial nominee program streams.

The provincial nominee program of British Columbia held two draws simultaneously: one general draw and another occupation-specific draw. This has been in practice since February this year.

The first general draw issued a total of 194 invitations to apply for Canada immigration. Candidates with the minimum provincial scores between 74 and 106 points only received invitations. They include Skilled Workers, recent International Graduates or Entry Levels, and Semi-Skilled workers.

Active profiles in the federal Express Entry pool also received invitations to apply for Canada immigration under this Provincial Nominee Program draw.

The second specialist provincial draws targeted two in-demand occupations:

retail and wholesale trade managers (NOC 0621), and
restaurant and foodservice managers (NOC 0631)

About 49 invitees are eligible to apply for Canada immigration with scores of 106 and above.

The provincial nominee program’s Skills Immigration Registration System (SIRS) manages applications under the two skilled immigration programs. Registration and profile assessment based on education, work experience, and language skills form the core selection criteria.

Permanent Residency in Canada through Provincial Nominee Program

The “two-step migration” process is now the most preferable pathway for economic-class immigrants to apply for Canada immigration.

Eligible candidates may qualify for a temporary resident visa and gain work experience in Canada. Based on their Canadian work experience, they may apply for permanent residence either through the provincial nominee program or Canada Experience Class (CEC).

Recent statistics show that the share of those admitted within the provincial nominee program is at 46% and the share of those landing via CEC increased from 8% to 19%, since 2015.

The provincial nomination from British Columbia is valid for approximately six months from the date of confirmation.

During this time period, you can apply with IRCC under the Provincial Nominee Class and receive an invitation to apply for permanent residence through fortnightly Express Entry nomination draws. You may receive an additional 600 points under the Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) of the Express Entry system.

In fact, the recent Express Entry draws targeted about 746 candidates with prior provincial nominations. All the invites had a minimum CRS score of 720. It meant that they required only 120 points to score on CRS to qualify. The remaining 600 points were to be added automatically for receiving provincial nominations.

British Columbia has issued over 11,000 invitations to apply for Canada immigration. The province is only expected to increase its intake levels next year.

Quebec Immigration Arrima Draws Invites 326 Engineers, Health Workers & Educators

In the latest nomination draw held exclusively for Quebec immigration(Quebec Arrima), 326 eligible foreigners were invited to apply for Quebec Selection Certificate (CSQ). This could help them to obtain Canada permanent residency.

The candidates under the Quebec Skilled Worker Program with prior Expression of Interest (EOI) were targeted in the latest draw. Invited candidates needed to have profiles in the Arrima system with scores of at least 633 points.

The latest draw is Quebec’s thirteenth of the year. A total of 3,564 candidates have now been invited to apply for Quebec immigration through Arrima in 2021 and settle in the province permanently.

Quebec held one draw in January, then held monthly draws between March and June. There was no draw in July, but there were three draws in August, two in September, and since then the province has returned to monthly draws.

Quebec has returned to the target of welcoming over 50,000 immigrants in 2022 after four years of cutting immigration by 20 per cent. About 65 per cent will arrive through economic-class immigration programs.

NSW Opens Permanent Residency Doors for Offshore Skilled Migration to Australia

Australian state of New South Wales (NSW) announced changes to its Skilled Migration to Australia visa program.

Offshore applicants having work experience in certain ANZSCO unit groups are now eligible for NSW nomination under Skilled Nominated visa (subclass 190). Applicants will need to show three years of work experience in such occupations.

Offshore candidates in NSW are those who continuously lived outside Australia for the past three months and hold a valid skills assessment for occupation within an ANZSCO unit group.

New South Wales is inviting select ANZSCO unit groups to apply for Skilled Migration to Australia under Subclass 190. These include

engineering managers,
health and welfare service managers,
production managers,
primary and secondary school teachers,
pharmacists,
dental practitioners,
midwives,
registered nurses,
social workers.

New South Wales has a diverse, and service-oriented economy. It is a densely populated region of Australia with about 8,172,500 residents. Sydney is the capital of NSW and hosts about 64.5 per cent of the entire state residents.

The Australian Government is planning to welcome 160,000 Australian PR visas in the 2021-2022 program year. The program year in Australia runs from July to June.

A successful NSW state nomination can fetch permanent residence in Australia.

New South Wales State Nomination for Offshore Skilled Migration to Australia

You cannot directly apply for NSW nomination without getting an invite from the state.

Invitations are sent out from time to time and received by eligible candidates who had already registered themselves in SkillSelect EOI.

NSW nominates candidates through the following visa categories for skilled migration to Australia:

Skilled Nominated visa (subclass 190): For nominated skilled workers to work and live in Australia as permanent residents. The average visa applications are processed within 18 months.

Skilled Work Regional (Provisional) visa (subclass 491): For skilled workers nominated by a state/territory government to work and live in regional Australia. The average visa applications are processed within 9 months.

Earlier this year, the NSW Government has already begun accepting applications for

Business Innovation and Investment (Provisional) visa (subclass 188) streams, and

the Business Talent (Permanent) visa (subclass 132) Significant Business History stream

The state government will now consider offshore applicants of Subclass 190 visas in invitation rounds via designated unit groups.

Offshore candidates with prior experience in select Australian and New Zealand Standard Classification of Occupations (ANZSCO) unit groups will now be considered in invitation rounds.

Rising Wages Add to Benefits of Canada Immigration in Recent Years: Statistics Canada

Canada adds another chapter to its long list of benefits of Canada immigration. A new Statistics Canada study finds that Pay Scale for immigrants in Canada are on the rise in recent years.

The study notes the higher median income for immigrant groups with prior work or study experience in Canada.

Even though Canada is seen favouring two-step immigration post-pandemic, those without prior Canadian experience still have a good chance of obtaining Canada Permanent Residency.

Canadian experience is categorized into three groups: work and study experience, just work, and just study experience.

When looking at just the principal applicants of economic-class immigration programs, the median wages were higher than the Canadian-born population in 2019. These immigrants who landed in 2018 had a median salary of $43,600 one year later, which is more than 12% higher than the Canadian median wage in the same year ($38,800).

“Principal applicants in the economic categories are selecting by their ability to integrate into the Canadian labour market and to contribute to the economy,” the report says. “Most have post-secondary education and knowledge of at least one official language.”

Canada Permanent Residency with Prior Canadian Experience Leads to Higher Immigrant Wages

Immigrants who had both work and study experience before admission had the highest median wage one year later.

Immigrants admitted in 2018 reported their 2019 median wage as $44,600. This was even higher than the Canadian-born population who reported a median wage of $38,800 that year. Immigrants who only had work experience prior to landing in 2018 had a 2019 median wage of $39,300, also higher than the Canadian-born population.

Immigrants who became permanent residents in 2018 reported a higher median wage in 2019. The absolute figure is the highest among all groups of immigrants who came to Canada since 1981.

Additionally, immigrant women who arrive in Canada as economic dependents (such as spouses of principal applicants or family-sponsored immigrants) are seeing higher wage growth. This shows that the Pay scale for Immigrants in Canada is rising.

Benefits of Canada Immigration: Convergence in the Labor Market Performance

Another study by Statistics Canada found immigrant men who had been in Canada for less than 10 years get jobs at a faster rate than Canadian-born men. There was also a marginal improvement in the relative employment rate of immigrant women who had been in Canada for less than five years.

Individuals with higher levels of education and higher language proficiency in English or French fare better in Canada.

Canada Express Entry: 746 PNP Candidates Invited to Apply for Canada PR

Yet another Canada Express Entry draw targets PNP-only immigration candidates to apply for Canada PR.

Immigration, Refugees, and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) held its eighth PNP-specific Canada Express Entry draw on December 22. It targeted only domestic temporary workers or skilled foreign workers with prior provincial nominations.

The 25th PNP-specific Canada Express Entry draw this year resulted in 746 invitations to apply for Canada PR. The cut-off score for this Express Entry draw increased to 720 points, still in the lower range.

Canada Express Entry draws have already resulted in 114,431 invitations to apply for Canada PR in 2021.

All the invited candidates in Canada Express Entry PNP-draw have demonstrated their connection to a province or territory. It is through familial ties, work experience, or study experience in that province or territory. In order to qualify for the CEC program, temporary skilled workers or recent international graduates must have had at least one year of work experience in Canada.

A departure from the previous Canada Express Entry draws is noticed. IRCC says 42% of invitations in 2020 went to candidates who had Canadian education, up from 28% in 2019.

History of Canada Express Entry Draws

Canada Express Entry has held only 39 PNP-only draws since its launch in 2015.

Generally, the draw size is limited to less than a thousand invitations to apply for Canada PR. However, this draw became an exception.

OVERVIEW OF 212th EXPRESS ENTRY DRAWS
Decreased Draw Size	746 invitations to apply for Canada PR. The last draw had the largest draw size in the history of Canada Express Entry PNP-only draws.
Increased Express Entry Cut-off	The minimum CRS score required was 720. Adding 600 points to their base human capital score, candidates effectively required only 98 points to qualify.
Tie-break rule applied?	IRCC applies the tie-break rule to avoid disputes in the rankings. This is particularly helpful in cases where two or more candidates end up with the same CRS score. No tie-break rule was applied.

Off-late, IRCC is giving undue preference to PNP candidates. It is aiming to support and realize the immigration goals of the provinces and territories that otherwise would have failed.

Immigration aspirants choose Canada because of its direct permanent residence pathway. A PR invitation through the provincial nomination route is not a direct pathway, however, will secure your chances of Canada PR. It is through the addition of 600 points for provincial nomination towards their Express Entry profile CRS score.

Apply for Canada PR with Provincial Nomination

Any prospective candidate who seeks to obtain permanent residence in Canada must register on Canada Express Entry online portal.

All the registered profiles are then assessed and ranked based on a Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS).

Such profiles are evaluated on a total of 1200 points. Their human capital like

age,
education,
work experience outside Canada,
language proficiency in English/French,
spouse adaptability,
Canadian study experience, etc. are considered for evaluation purposes.

Aseema Ashraf is a working health professional with more than 6 years of experience. She entered the Express Entry pool with a CRS score of just 150 points. She had also submitted her profile to the Canadian province of Manitoba.

Also, Ms Ashraf never worked or studied in Canada.

Aseemaa Ashraf was soon invited to apply for a provincial nomination. This made her CRS score rise to 750. This is sufficient to receive ITA in this Express Entry draw.

IRCC is looking to clear previous Express Entry backlogs to resume fresh Canada PR applications under FSWP and CEC programs soon.

And to sum it up, experts are of the view that the immigration levels in Canada will only increase in the coming years. Canada is aiming to admit more than 110,500 Express Entry candidates in 2022.

Atlantic Immigration Pilot is now Permanent, Widens Scope of Applying for Canada Visa

Canadian Minister for Immigration, Sean Fraser, along with provincial leaders made an important announcement to widen the scope of applying for Canada Visa. Starting January 1, 2022, the Atlantic Immigration Pilot (AIP) will become a permanent program. The program is now called the Atlantic Immigration Program.

AIP will open doors for 6,000 eligible candidates to apply for Canada Visa annually and settle in Atlantic Canada.

Launched in 2017, the AIP is an employer-driven immigration program. It allows foreign talents to immigrate to the four Atlantic provinces. No expensive Labour Market Impact Assessment (LIMA) to apply for Canada Visa under this program.

Every local employer undertakes LIMA before hiring foreign talents. It ascertains that the job role cannot be fulfilled by the local talent pool and eligible foreign talent can be hired to fulfil it.

The four Canadian provinces in the Atlantic region include New Brunswick, Nova Scotia, Prince Edward Island, Newfoundland, and Labrador.

Saskatchewan Opens New International Healthcare Worker EOI Pool to Apply for Canada Immigration

In a bid to boost provincial immigration, Provincial Nominee Program run by Saskatchewan has launched a new International Healthcare Worker Expression of Interest (EOI) Pool.

The purpose of the new EOI pool is to connect healthcare workers with job opportunities in the province, making it easier to apply for Canada immigration.

Saskatchewan considers this new International Healthcare Worker EOI submission process as a pre-application form. Eligible candidates may submit an online form indicating they want to work in a selected health care occupation in Saskatchewan.

This will prioritize and quicken the process of receiving nominations from the Provincial Nominee Program.

The new EOI pool will now be operational under the Saskatchewan Immigrant Nominee Program (SINP).

Have at least one year of paid work experience in the intended occupation within the last ten years
Score at least 60 points out of 110 on the points assessment grid

Additionally, proof of eligibility for Saskatchewan licensure is mandatory if your job offer is in an occupation that is in Saskatchewan and needs mandatory licensing.

Apply for Canada Immigration through SINP: Hard-to-Fill Skills Pilot

Criteria for this newly launched pilot include:

Have a permanent, full-time job offer from a Saskatchewan employer that is registered with the SINP
Meet the minimum CLB language requirement
